yes, but only the new version which you can see in this video
would this work for the d3000
@vravon Thanks!
@AllAmericanGuy01 Yes. The lens functions great without VR. VR, Optical Stabalizer and Image Stabalizer lenses cost quite a bit more. I have IS and OS lenses and fine that they are great for low light situations and help a great deal with reducing camera shake. But if you hold the camera steady, use a tripod or flash, or a relatively quick shutter speed for hand held shots, you can get great results without it too. It’s just a matter of choice vs. cost.
good review. NOT
i did bought the 70-300 mm already but not nikkor though, it is much cheaper and it has macro on it..and its awesome for cheaper price…its all about the photographer with a good eye not the lense or camera…hehehe
as long as u have a tripod to use for it even if u don’t buy the one with VR then its all good…
get 55-200mm instead
Song : The Flame within – By Yanni
what is the name of the song?
Anything that has an AF-S label, would work with the D40, D40x and D60.
I went to a camera store (not mentioning the name) and they told me that I needed the VR lens for the 70-300mm nikkor lens.Mind you, lens w/ VR is over $500. Lens w/out VR is close to $200.Being the guy that I am, I purchased the lens with out the VR and come to find out, it works perfect. They were saying it wouldn’t autofocus….BULLSHIT.
It does autofocus. And I have a D60, not some high tech professional camera.
Yeah, I was checking that out.
Most camera stores where I live are selling it for $540.00 & up just for the VR. Without the VR, it’s only 100 or 200…I’m not sure. But alot of camera stores are telling me I must have a VR or else it won’t work because I have a D60. But IDK. The AF won’t work, but I don’t think that would be much of a problem, but then again…I don’t wanna take that risk, so I’m saving up unfortuanately :[
is it real bad if no VR? lol its like 150$ USD but Vr its like 400.. lol
Do they work with the D40 ?
Man that sounds like Yanni! Cool!
Love that 7/8
i have on they are quite heavy so you can keep them steady when zoomed in!!
i think so, but im not sure if the d40x can handle that heavy lense. im planning to buy the 70-300 mm lense also.
whats the name of this song???, thats soo cool
do they fit a d40x?
this lens is great for outdoors. obviously.
I want a 500mm for my D80
